I have always loved photographs like this, it has so much emotion, yet it is so still and silent. You can feel what he feels, yet you do not know what he is thinking about. The man is also doing something very simple, standing, yet, because of the tones, composition and background, it brings it all to life. And thus, this is photography, the imagination of the minds' eye at work.
Although, I feel that it would have been even better if the people at the other end of the foot bridge where not there. But this is a small detail, and some would argue that they tell a story being there while this man is so far.
